Cyber Professionals,

Great news.  Last week, on a vote of 90 – 0, the Ohio House passed SB 52 which creates and funds the Ohio Cyber Reserve.  Today the Ohio Senate, which had previously passed this bill 31-0, voted 32-0 to concur with the house version of SB 52 which had some amendments in it.  This is a great day and I appreciate the many hours of work so many of you put into this project.

The last step of this process is the Governor’s signature which is expected soon.  There is a 90 waiting period for the bill to take full effect, but we are moving forward quickly to finish the regulations and the recruiting so we can hit the ground running.  When we get more information of the date of the bill signing I will let you know.

Many of the SOPs for this new style of military unit were written with the participation of a small group of experts, one key player was TechR2. So take some pride that TechR2 is blazing the path for Cybersecurity in Ohio and the USA.

Good job TechR2.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″ dp_animation=””][vc_column_text dp_animation=””]
